Mooncup pledge clinches EUSA election victory
TEVIOT ROW HOUSE – Vice President of Societies and Activities Nadia Mehdi triumphed in the EUSA elections after promising free mooncups to the student population.
Female students expressed delight that such a significant financial burden had been lifted. “I previously spent around 40% of my income on mooncups,” stated one third year female student. Another agreed, saying, “This is a brilliant policy. I know so many girls who choose to use mooncups rather than any other feminine hygiene product.”
The policy also garnered widespread support amongst the male student body. A second year male student commented “I voted for this policy. I don’t want to see females menstruating everywhere.”
Other males surveyed expressed a desire to get their money’s worth from the policy. “I’m going to use my free mooncup as a desk organiser,” explained one male first year student. “It will be very handy for storing paper clips.”
