EUSA censure Sports Union for quiet, dignified Presidential election
Edinburgh University Students Union have this Tuesday (22/04/14) passed a motion censuring Edinburgh University Sports Union, because their election is not aggressive or loud enough, nor does it have posters doing shedloads of environmental damage.
One anonymous EUSA hack commented via their blog ‘EUSA-mism’ that, “This election is bullshit. There no are candidates accused of being racists, or bullies, there is no one blatantly cheating and organising odious club nights, there are no weird blogs about the personalities of sports Union candidates where they quote themselves. Instead, there is just some quiet Facebook campaigning. Don’t they know the heart and soul of the world is at stake?”
Gerry Matthews, a fourth year Geography student said, “I’ll probably actually vote in the EUSU elections, there are fewer weirdos running around bothering me for my vote.”
Alyssa Williams, a second year Candy Crush student said, “I don’t actually know any of the policies, so I’ll probably just vote via coinflip, much like my approach to the EUSA elections.”
The election between Conor Bond and George Hunt is taking place from the 22nd to the 24th and all students can vote on MyEd.
