Experts Predict Memes To Become The Main Form Of Communication By 2018
In 2016 the usage of memes has become common place in human interaction. From Pepe to Doge, they are shaping the very way we think and feel. Whole friendships are being formed on the strength of meme game alone. Even this year’s American presidential race has been punctuated with appearances from Pepe in Trump form.
Indeed with the meme phenomenon gripping the world, it is unsurprising that communication experts have predicted they will actually replace all other human interaction by 2018.
Professor of memeology, Dr Kek, commented:
“At first we thought it would be emojis, people were using them left right and centre, now as much as they are still popular they simply haven’t been able to compete with the meme. Memes can be straightforward, they can be complex, they can be funny, and they can be poignant. Indeed the use of an image with a humorous caption is gripping the world in such a way that we think they will come to dominate human interaction by 2018.
No longer will people talk, they will ask questions in the form of memes and reply in the form of memes also. The advent of tagging has made this process all the more possible. We can see this happening today, puppies are now puppers and dogs doggos, they don’t bark they go bork bork. The simple name Harambe has 1000 meanings due to the power of memes. Do not fight it! Only embrace! If you don’t like memes the future isn’t for you… “
