Millennials Anxious and Depressed Because They Know Climate Change is Real

In the face of swathes of the US government continuing it’s blunder into chaos, ruin and an apocalypse that will be considerably less fun and exciting than the one in Pacific Rim, it has become increasingly obvious that the main cure to depression and anxiety is the complete denial of climate change and the end of days which is cantering closer every waking moment.

‘Millennials’, are fascinatingly more open to talking about their mental health than prior generations, with the vast majority reporting high levels of distress, mainly stemming from a dawning sense of dread they wake up to everyday: climate change.

Think about it, have you ever seen a depressed climate change denier? No, one who doesn’t read real scientific evidence and instead blindly guesses that ‘maybe it heating up isn’t a bad thing? I mean think about it, people bounced back after the ice age. I mean I guess back then we didn’t have plastics that would continue to biodegrade for millennia. But who knows, I think it’s best is we just carry on as normal, I guess it’s just one of those weird things’

Amy, a local millennial said ‘of course the end of days which I cannot control or truly comprehend the scale of is causing me clinical depression. When I’m watching Blue Planet it sometimes feels like I’m mentally self-flagellating. If only my primary school had never stressed the importance of recycling. I wish I had the ignorance and lifespan of my Grandparents.
