Peter McColl excited to lose two elections in three months
Incumbent Edinburgh University Rector and Green Party candidate Peter McColl announced after his comfortable rector election loss Wednesday night that he was “excited to lose another election in just three months time.”
This statement followed the announcement last night that McColl had indeed lost his chance for a second term as rector of the University to resident cute old man, Steve Morrison.
During his time as rector, McColl made great efforts with “campaigns” and “arguing with normal students on Facebook comment threads” and was known best to the student body by his lovable nickname “Who is Peter McColl?”.
Commenting on his upcoming general election race, the ex-rector informed Flipside that he was excitedly looking forward to urging voters to place him as their second preference to a Labour candidate, noting that his efforts with the Greens would hopefully bring about the Conservative-UKIP coalition they were fighting for.
Steve Morrison, the new rector-elect, was contacted for a comment, but only repeated McColl’s nickname to our publication and proceeded to go tend to his millions.
