Refugees make it to Dundee, disembark, re-board, and set course for Middle East.
In the early hours of the morning over one hundred refugees arrived in Dundee. Having survived untold terror and suffering they were most relieved. However, after disembarking and spending approximately eight minutes in the city, they decided to head back to the war torn Middle East.
Flipside was able to quickly interview one of the refugees, who’s English was far superior to the average dundonian’s.
“Look,” she said, “We thought we were fleeing from chaos, hell and horror. That has been put in perspective now, Dundee is far worse than we could have ever imagined. Naturally we had heard the joke names, such as Scumdee, but we never imagined it would be like this. Clearly the people of this city, have enough problems of their own, we shall not seek to add to them or make them better. So it’s off home for us. It is amazing what a little context does for how you perceive the world.”
Flipside would like to add that it totally supports the refugee’s decisions in these events, for any who question them we challenge you to actually go to Dundee, for few have and lived to tell the tale.
