Student Spends £4000 On “budget” DIY Costume: Still Looks Shit.
In the late hours of the evening 2nd year student, Janey-J completed her DIY cat costume.
The combined labour and material cost are currently totalling £4000, this includes all manner of raw material including traces of uranium and 200 illegal man hours, paid below minimum wage. However it has all combined to create a cat costume, which in all honesty “looks pretty shit” according to her flat mates.
Janey-J was naturally on hand to add a comment, “Look I tried ok, I thought I will save some money this year and do my costume myself, but it was quite hard work and I hurt my finger with a pin, so just had some of daddies servants do it, they kept doing it wrong so I told them how and now I am really happy with it, can’t wait to go out and show it off. DIY really is best.”
Janey-J looks nothing like a cat, Flipside cannot emphasize this enough, considering it was a project which began in June we are quite simply baffled as to how she made such a bad costume. We imagine the servants actually did a pretty good job, well at least she is happy, and that is what matters here.
EUSA president Jonny Ross-Potatoes has come out in mixed support of the costume and said, “This campus is a safe space, and we shan’t have Janey-J attacked for her costume making skills, however we will be having words about its cat cultural appropriating nature.”
