Ukrainian government to offer summer mercenaryships to UK students
In a press conference on Friday the Ukrainian government outlined its plans to open thousands of mercenary internship positions to UK university students.
“We are excited to offer these positions in a growing and competitive field,” stated a military spokesperson. “Over the course of the summer students will have the opportunity to participate in an active military operation and experience the effectiveness of international diplomacy.”
According to the official statement, military leadership promises that the mercenaryship, “Won’t be all about the coffee runs. Over the course of the summer students will have the opportunity to take on a variety of different duties including maintenance and use of artillery, participation in on-the-ground operations, and the general work necessary to sustain a military operation.”
Mercenaryship applicant Jacob Wright, a second year History student, stated that he was applying for the position because, “Honestly I couldn’t think of anything better to do, plus I didn’t get the mercenaryship I really wanted with Syria. It’s a tough world out there for graduates, and experience can make all the difference.”
Consideration for applications will begin in mid-April and continue until the military has enough student-power to launch an offensive against Russian forces.
